Campaign for change

As Bihar goes to the polls, there is a wave being spread according on the basis of caste and religion. It is very decisive as to what will happen? For too long people have voted on the basis of caste and religion and therefore there has been no development. Bihar continues to reel in abject poverty, illiteracy and unemployment and yet people are not prepared to rise above caste and religion and vote for development. A new party has been floated ‘Plurals’ and they have a desire to change Bihar which has been locked down for 30 years. Employment and Education are their promises to the people. The youth are looking for job opportunities and this is the time to vote for change. Bihar deserves better. The urban poor have been living in shanties in very dehumanizing situations; their promise of housing for the people has been another point on their agenda. Our many years of advocacy with the government agencies and the department for housing have fallen on deaf ears. During these 15 years there was no alternative, now there is an alternative and we need to give them an opportunity. It’s now or never and our people seem to be prepared for this change.
