Distribution of Vendors I card

After many years of advocating with the government o put the ‘Street Vendors Act – 2014’ in place, at last something positive was happening. The survey was undertaken by Patna Municipal Corporation in collaboration with us. After much persuasion the I cards began to be distributed around Gandhi Maidan area. A sense of joy was seen on the face of the vendors. Certificates were also being awarded which they would have to laminate and keep in their shops.

The distribution of 170 cards of the vendors in about 3 hours was a great achievement and something to be happy about. We hope that the vendors will be in a position to have a stress free vending.
