Fire at Road No. 30 – Gardanibagh

On the 17, May in the evening around 7.45 am a fire broke out at Gardanibagh No. 30. The cause of the fire was short circuit which got engulfed due to the gas cylinders. In a few minutes the 20 or so huts were razed to ashes. People lost everything, they stood shocked with the only clothes they had on their body. In such a situation, what needs to be done. Immediate arrangements for food were made so that they would not retire for the night empty stomach. But where would they retire and how could they sleep, this was a big question. The next day with our intervention the officials arrived to assess the situation and to take stock of the loss and to decide on the compensation.
