Liazoning with the Member of the Legislative Assembly
When there is threat of eviction and people fear that they have no alternative, so we try to knock at every door. It is a nightmare for those who go through such situations because one has to go through the grind to know what it means. Witnessing the insecurity and fear that looms on their faces, is quite an experience. As people gathered together we decided to go to the residence of the MLA and demand our rights before him. It was cold and yet the people were prepared to march along. One last ray of hope, one last step to bring about a change, as a way forward. When we reached the residence, the MLA came forward and made a call to the District magistrate. Thought here was not a favorable response, the community was prepared to keep the fight alive.
