Night out with Aashray Abhiyan team

Working with the homeless community is very challenging. The challenge increases when the winter sets in and we find people sleeping in the open air and on pavements. Very often we who have cosy beds do not realize the pain and struggle of those who do not have a roof over their heads. In order to facilitate the commitment to the homeless the team had a night out. The visit began at 6.00 pm and concluded by 10.30 pm. Going to all the shelters put up by the government and interacting with the inmates was an opportunity to know their stories. Some of the stories we heard helped us realize that how due to some unfortunate situations in life people have to struggle. It helped us to be grateful to God for all that we have received.
