This is a huge dwelling unit situated along the canal adjacent to the Patliputra railway station. There are some 300 huts there and people are living in very inhuman conditions. There is no drinking water, they have to cross the railway line and reach Patliputra station to get water. Not having toilets is also another necessity, especially for the women. The city ambassadors of the area placed the need for toilets and drinking water before the commissioner of the Patna Municipal Corporation. Hopefully the work will start very soon.
