Vendors Day was celebrated on 20, January at Jamuna Ashram. It was a day when as many vendors gathered together to discuss the problems that they have been facing from the administration the regular harassment by the administration and the confiscation of their goods is a violation of the Street Vendors Act 2014. We as an organization have worked hard to get the vendors recognized and give them an identity and the administration does not uphold the license. It at time seems a losing battle as the administration and the government departments are working on parallel lines, not recognizing the vendors license. The vendors were invited to make sure they unite and only then we would be able to fight for our rights or demand our rights.
