Candle March
On a day of celebration, a great tragedy struck the island of Sri Lanka. While people across the Globe were celebrating Easter, innocent Catholics who went to attend Easter celebrations were done to death. In a very cowardly act that shocked the entire world and filled people with fear. In order to denounce this act and express our solidarity with the departed souls, we at Aashray Abhiyan took out a Candle March. We were joined by Sewa Kendra under the leadership of the Director Fr. Amalraj. As we went around the Kargil war memorial, there was silent march. We stood in silence for two minutes for the happy repose of the departed and consolation to the bereaved families.
In conclusion the Gathering was addressed by Fr. Amalraj who expressed pain at what had happened in Sri Lanka. Dorothy invited the group to stretch out their hands and send vibrations of love and peace to our heart broken world. In conclusion Dilip Patel thanked all those who came to express their solidarity. Placing the burning candle before the war memorial the group dispersed.
