COVID - 19 - Rights Based Approach - Total distribution

  1. Awareness

    The first step was a meeting with the team members of the office. They were given orientation so that they understand the dangers and then will be in a better position to educate the communities when they went around. In order to facilitate this, the do’s and don’ts were written out and photocopies were made.

    This awareness material was distributed to almost 2000 families.

  2. Direct Distribution

    Aashray Abhiyan has so far provided food grains to some .:
    1,100 families in Patna and Bhagalpur, another town in Bihar.
    We have reached out to almost 13 dwelling units.
    60 vendors
    35 laborers
    100 renters who are in a very difficult situation.
    In total it is
    5500 kg. – rice
    5500 kg - atta
    1100 kg. -Dal.

  3. Advocating with Bihar State Disaster Management Authority/ Administration

    Directed three communities some 1000 people to “Bihar State Disaster Management Authority” to the 4 - community kitchens run by the government to avail of cooked food being prepared for the hungry. Meals are provided twice a day 12 noon and 6.00 pm.
