Campaigning for local representatives

The voices of those who live on the margins continue their struggle for a dignified living. Most of the elected representatives do not visit their voters or pay heed to their pain and suffering. They are left to the mercy of God and continue to struggle. We have been trying to make their voices heard in the Assembly, in Parliament. We realized that we need to put up a candidate who could become a powerful voice to those who live on the periphery. Most of our settlements come under ward no.09 of the Patna Municipal Corporation. So we decided to put one of our team members who is fearless dares to face the bulldozer and question those who come to demolish the houses of the people. He is also found available for the community when they are in distress and in need.

The men folk of the team joined in the campaign going door to door and convincing the voters to cast their vote for the appropriate person, so that they can benefit. It is heartening to find the response of the people very positive as they have been regretting the last time how they had made a mistake. As the campaign gains momentum, we hope and pray that victory will be for the deserving candidates and people will rise above their petty selfish interests. May they be guided in their choice
