Celebrating international Human Rights Day
It is always a day when we celebrate with great gusto, the dream of experiencing our rights as citizens. Our communities with whom we are engaged also turn up in huge numbers. We keep reminding them that this is the day when we need to show our strength and give a loud and clear message to the government that our rights are being violated. The three rights for which we work – Right to shelter, livelihood and food is the umbrella under which all our people are covered.
As we gathered at
Buddha Smriti with slogans around their necks they attracted the attention of passersby. Many of our people addressed the Gathering and were enthused and passionate about demanding their rights. It is heartening to watch these unlettered people speaking with utmost confidence and inspiring others also to do the same. In the midst of all the bleakness the ray of hope shines
