Celebrating Teacher’s day
If there is a vocation that will always be needed is the noble vocation of a teacher. As we move on in life, our first step towards learning begins in a school. It is the teachers who handles each child like clay and shapes and forms her / him to become a valuable citizen of this country.
Our young women at the sewing centers are also being formed by our teachers; they not only learn the art of sewing, but also how to manage their lives. Soft skills of what it means to make a home, how we need to behave with the leaders in the family are part of formation of young people. These teachers who are co-creators in the plan of God have a noble work and we honored these teachers by thanking them for being partners with us in mission.
Each of them was honored by draping a shawl by their coordinator; after which we had a fellowship meal. In each center the students thanked and honored their teachers. It is but a sign of their appreciation and gratitude for enabling them to be skilled.
