Learning Centers in the urban sector
As we continue our journey with the urban poor – the ‘Service Providers”, our belief to offer basic interest for learning is very vital. There is a need to inculcate in them a desire to move ahead. We also need to motivate them and ensure that they will be in a better position to move ahead and improve their life.
The learning centers at TV Tower, Janta Flat and Gaighat have become in a way established and every year we turn out at least 55 children to move ahead and pursue their studies. There is an attempt to make learning interesting and also fun for children. Efforts are on to make these things possible and help children to move ahead. Our efforts are a drop in an ocean, and yet we know that it does make a difference to some of them.
