Liazoning with international representative
It was heartening to have someone from the “London School of Economics” visit us as an organization. Ms. Pushpam basically from Bihar was very much impressed and interested in the work we as an organization were doing for the urban poor; trying to make life better for them. She was simply shocked at the callous manner in which the people were denied basic amenities of life. In an age of development she said Bihar stood at the last of every human development index. She said this could not continue and some changes have to be made.
She met with the ‘City Ambassadors’ and the representatives of the vendors and construction workers and as she listened to their stories pouring out from their heart she was moved beyond words and knew not why such tolerance had captured us that we really did not bother. Her desires to change the course of events was very emphatic and assured to be with us and enable to make things change for the best.
