The World Social Forum – Indian Chapter
The World Social Forum is scheduled in Kathmandu from the 15 to 19 February 2024. It is coming to Asia after 20 years, the last one being in 2004 in Mumbai. Prior to this the Indian Chapter of the WSF will take place in India. Civil Society Groups at National level have decided that Patna should host this event. Being an active member of CSO – Patna, I have participated in both the meetings that have taken place. Its going to be a real experience as we work together as a member of the organizing committee. It will be demanding but it also offers an opportunity to be part of all these processes in our belief that “another world is necessary”.
The dates that have been finalized are 02 – 04 December 2023 in Patna. Lots of work has to go into the preparation of this event, a lot of stretching a lot of letting go; a lot of learning how people work and function.
