Womanish award
Recognition is an essential part of working in society at times it comes through recommendations from the civil society groups, government undertakings, and educational institutions. The ‘womanish reward” was awarded by the ‘Chandragupta Institution of Management’ – Patna, for the economic empowerment of women on the periphery. There were some 15 other women and men who were also awarded. A documentary film was screened ‘I Exist’ by Bhoomikar Vihar. A true story of the clutches of slavery of the girl child and the many experiences by the young girls on the border of Nepal and Bihar. It was a truly touching movie that captured the real struggle of the young girls even in this age and also saddened by this reality.
Receiving an award has been a humbling experience I feel being one among the younger people has been recognition for the years of hard work and for enabling women to find their place in society.
