A small gesture of reaching out to the unreached
As winter comes we at Aashray Abhiyan always are gripped with the question: how to reach out to the most vulnerable. We had many communities who are facing the biting cold, yet we had a real challenge to identify the ones who would be the most needy. The other challenge is the limited space we have to gather the people in the office.
Despite all these limitations, we were in a position to distribute blankets on the 02, January. The organizing of distribution is quite a task as we have to give those slips and ensure only those who get the slips who will come to the office. Some of them are elderly and yet we had to ensure that we would give it to them in their hands, so that no one will be denied.
As the people received the blankets it was a delight to see them with shining eyes as the blankets were double sized and warm. Our prayer that many people will come forward to reach out to those who are the most needy. May God reward the generous of heart.
