Awareness among the young women from TV Tower and Chitkohra

As we begin to empower the young women with a skill as a means to be empowered, we gathered them to give them an orientation. The purpose is that they grow in awareness of their rights as women. It is very common that the young women and girls become aware of their rights and discriminatory practices in the home. These practices become a norm in society and silently we accept the harassment and violence that comes their way. During the growing process they begin to internalize this and become slaves to these practices. While interacting with the young women they expressed the pressure put on them and often in order to maintain Peace. So it’s often the compromise mode in which young women find themselves and they believe this is their lot.
