Celebrating International Labor Day
Working with the Service Providers and especially the construction workers, it was decided to celebrate “Labor Day” with the communities. Workers gathered from Siphara, Bhattacharya Road, Panchmukhiya Mandir,Chitkohra, Malaai Pakkdi and other points. As the workers gathered together, there was a feeling of Joy. The historical beginning of Labor Day was explained to the people and how many of the policies which are upheld today had its beginning from Chicago, US. The eight hour work and 6 day week began at that time.
The guests for the day were the MLA – Member of the Legislative Assembly, leaders of various unions and Shri Bindeshwari. The emphasis by all the speakers was to encourage the workers to educate their children so that there can be a better future.
