Chief Guest at St. Karen’s Collegiate
It was indeed a pleasant surprise when a call came from St. Karen’s School requesting me to be present for the Carol singing competition of St. Karen’s Collegiate. It was an honor to be both the Judge and the Chief Guest on the occasion. The journey to the school was very interesting as I was getting to know Mrs. Sharon Gaulstan the Directress of the Collegiate. Their efforts to groom children to be good citizens were very inspiring.
As the competition began and the kids sang with their melodious voices to the tune of the instruments, it was Heavenly. The children from Classes I to V were dressed so tastefully each one so creative and so apt according to the carol they sang. It was one of the most difficult judgments to make. The efforts of the teachers and the children were so evident; yet in this game one ha to be the best. Tears rolled down as some of the children were totally disappointed, again something to learn and grow up with.
It was a different morning; an enjoyable time to be with children and I pray that each of them will experience the Joy and Love of Christmas – in their caring, sharing and giving.
