Children’s Rights workshop
During the covid pandemic, every person has had his share of struggles. Life has changed drastically for all of us and we have learnt to accept the new normal as the way forward. Children were the most badly hit. They were confined to the homes especially in the early days of the lockdown. They have grappled with issues that were new to them. Some of them had to face new situations and were usually getting frustrated as their childhood was kind of disturbed.
In the course of time, we also heard of how children had been abused since there was no regular monitoring system. It was from this perspective a workshop was put in place to get a general feel of how children had handled this situation. The group got familiar with some of the problems faced by children and the interventions in this area made by different stake holders. The participants from the six diocese of Bihar participated in the workshop and got acquainted with this issue. It was emphasized that we keep close watch on what is happening to children under our care.
