Dawat – e – Iftiar
In the wake of the current trend in the country, we speak of being inclusive, of upholding the constitutional values of our country. We at Aashray Abhiyan have taken a decision that we would celebrate one festival of the three major religions of our country. We organized ‘Dawat-e-Iftiar to share in the joy of our Muslim sisters and brothers. The special invitees were Muslims, Hindus of the dwelling units wherein we are engaged with. Addressing the gathering and greeting them, we spoke of being inclusive and pluralistic in our approach and respecting our diversity. As citizens of our great country we uphold the values that have kept us together all these years. The color of blood is the same that runs in our veins, so we must stand united together. As we partake in this meal we thank God forgiving us this opportunity to partake in this meal and pray that we will strengthen the bonds of unity always.
