Distribution of ‘City Ambassador’ cards

Empowering the community who live in the dwelling units to live a dignified life is very important. And how does this happen -by identifying two young people who will monitor the work of providing basic amenities. At first they each received a letter, stating that they are ‘city ambassadors’, this was empowering. Another step forward was when on 09.06.19, once again 40 people from the ‘dwelling units’ gathered together. Each of them were requested to share about what was lacking in their place. The commissioner noted each of their demands and took keen interest in what they were saying. After this some of the cards were ready and they were distributed by the commissioner himself. This has meant a great del to the community and they have begun to take responsibility for their dwelling unit in earnestness.
