Distribution of food grains to the community near Kanti Sinha’s place – Punai Chak

The poverty and hunger of people in the urban set ups hits you high when there was a lockdown. These urban poor have a dignity of their own. They never begged for food, they believe that God has given them two hands and feet and they can earn their livelihood. They do not have enough money to buy a piece of land and build a house for themselves. So, when the lockdown came, as daily wage earners, they were hit the most. Whatever little they had saw them through the week. During the lockdown they were the most badly hit, so, we identified some 30 families and gave them some food grains. They were so grateful for these food grains, as once again due to the rampant spread of the virus another lack down has been announced.
