Distribution of sewing certificates at Digha center

As everything has been on hold and life has taken a u turn – we also at Aashray Abhiyan had to facile the consequences of this pandemic. Our programs got stalled and we had to rearrange most of our activities. Our skill training centers were closed. Luckily we had held the final examination in three centers but were unable to distribute the certificate. We never expected that the lockdown would be for such a long period of three months. We distributed the certificates at Digha for about 20 young girls who had completed their year’s course. Some of them have sewing machines; others are hoping to buy sewing machines. We hope and pray that at least 50% of these young girls will be able to set up their own business.
