Empowering for leadership

While the lockdown in on and there are many restrictions on the Gathering of people, we felt we should still be engaged with the communities in the settlements. In our team meeting we came to the realization that once the lockdown will be lifted most probably our vulnerable communities will be unsafe. In order to help them take the initiative, we began by forming groups of the people and helping them to identify their representatives and then have a Parliament of the people. We felt that at this point people living in the settlements will have to learn to take responsibility for them. The only way is to impart information to them was to gather them together and make them realize their responsibility. The team members have been moving to the settlements and ensuring that this takes place.
