A cold wintry day..with the winds blowing strong and all of a sudden a little child cam running o her grandmother and said “Bulldozer” has come. After about 15 to 20 minutes Aashray Abhiyan team were present to meet the Magistrate and to apprise him of the situation. A woman constable shouted at an 65 elderly differently challenged woman with a cleft lip go away from her, you old lady…such disrespect for people. Tanuja our team member came to her aid and asked if this is the way you talk to an elderly woman.
On the other side Dilip Patel another team member began to speak to the magistrate who had no written order to demolish the home of the people. Initially they began to threaten the people but Dilip Patel fearlessly began to speak on behalf of the people. Dorothy spoke to the Deputy Commissioner of the Patna Municipal Corporation and apprised him of the faulty manner in which the encroachment drive is being conducted. Unfortunately there is no forum, no on to listen to the pain, grief and anguish of the people.
