In solidarity with Human Rights Defenders

In a country that has been aware of human rights and never before there has been of defenders than of now to raise our voice against the violation of human rights. Anyone speaking for or on behalf of those whose rights are violated they face untold torture; to the extent of being arrested and put behind bars. This is a black day in the history of the country. When people who hold a legacy of speaking for the commoners, standing by the voiceless are treated so shabbily, what can small human rights defenders expect? It is under these circumstances that ‘citizen forum’ came together to raise their voices and to express the state wise harassment of two strong defenders. It is saddening the ones who stood for the weak and the voiceless were they being tried in such an inhuman manner. All people who have good sense and who uphold the cause of the voiceless are pained by the turn of events…..standing in solidarity is important, as we are afraid that it will not stop here if we remain silent spectators to this unfolding drama before us.
