At a time when people are struggling to live life; are struggling with fears of being safe and healthy, there are some builders who have become so inhuman. The area in context is the community at Sahgaadi Masjid, behind Haj Bhawan in the most important ward, a stone’s throw from the residence of the Bihar chief Minister. The callousness and insensitivity becomes magnified when the community of 240 huts has been living there for five decades. The government plans to build residence for the policemen. Every inch of land is being used for housing for those who already have alternatives. How can people be thrown out. One fine afternoon, the munshi(clerk) of the constructor came and threw cement bags on 11 huts of the community, when the elders were at work. When this was brought to the notice of the other members residing there , the munshi ran away. This when there has been a case in the Hon’ble High court directing that the status quo be mentioned. So once again, Ranjeet and Dilip visited the area and with the directions of the advocate have been busy preparing the documents to put in a plea in the High Court. Due to the spread of the virus there is a lockdown till the 16th. Somehow both these men managed to get a receiving from the residence of the Chief Minister.
