Liazoning with the MLA – Dr. Sanjeev Chourasia
Communities that have been living along the railway line for decades live suddenly they are gripped in utter fear with the threat of eviction. The Government of Bihar has acquired the land from the Railway and are proposing to construct six lanes and metro on the said land. Yet there is no plan as to where will the people who are residing along the railway lines go?
It is rather strange that how can a responsible government think of constructing roads for the sake of development without thinking of how to rehabilitate the people who have been living along the lines for decades.
The communities who reside along these lines have no other alternatives; so many of them went in groups to place their grievances before the MLA. Dr. Sanjeev Chourasia gave them an empathetic ear and in their presence called up the Circle Officer and tried to find out alternatives for them.
At least the community felt that they were listened to and went away hopeful that things will turn up in their favor. The MLA listened both attentively and sensitively to their pain and struggle. Perhaps if more representatives of people were understanding to the plight of the poor things would change for the better.
