Opportunity to bring out your talents

Festivals of all faiths have a beautiful meaning, but somewhere down the lane, we put emphasis on the exteriors. When we wish to celebrate the spirit of each festival it is a joyful and meaningful time of strengthening relationships. This time with so much of darkness and bleakness around the place we decide to bring color into the lives of our children in the dwelling units. About 100 children participated in the drawing and painting competition. It was very interesting to see the young children bringing out their talents with great concentration within less than an hour. The outcome was so amazing and it did make us think what could happen if they were given the proper opportunity. As they colored their drawings, I whispered a prayer within my heart that God will enable these children to climb the ladder of success. May the God of our journeys be with all of us as we break new paths…
