Remembering the “Quit India slogan – Kranti Diwas”
As an organization engaged in social interventions, we remember important days related to social issues and social events. “The Quit India Movement” is a historic day in the life of our Country. We as a group of frontline workers of Aashray Abhiyan, spent time recalling the contribution of our forefathers for the Freedom Struggle. Those times we were struggling with the British who were ruling our land. Today the situation in our state and country is no different. Even during these very different times when migrants were returning to Bihar, the government failed to support them. It was important to translate the promises into action and give them the monetary help that was promised. Nothing trickled down, except 5 kgs of rice, that also not for everyone. The time has come for people to reflect and to find out how they will respond when it comes for them to exercise her franchise.
