Remembering the martyrdom of the Father of the Nation

In today’s context we are trying to save the Constitution of our country which is a threat due to some people who do not accept the sacrifice of Bapuji. There is a need today to reawaken the children and the youth of the Freedom Struggle. Though a cold wintry wind was blowing, it was heartening to find the women from the dwelling units and the youth coming forward and offering floral attributes to this great human being. At the same time it was sad to find passersby being indifferent even when they were being invited. It made us reflect how little do our people know and how we have taken our freedom for granted. At the same time we also remembered the farmers who have died fighting for the repealing of the draconian laws. Other martyrs who have faced death trying to defend the violations of human rights. May their sacrifices not go in vain.
