Shelter for homelessness by center of Equity

A long standing relationship with Harsh Mander IAS for whom Dorothy had done a study of the situation of homelessness in Patna for the Supreme Court of India, was once again refreshed. On the 12, October James S. Wither from Pittsbugh, US along with Harsh Mander came for the opening of the shelter. Along with Shri Girish Shankar, Dorothy was also one of the guests of honor. James shared about his work of bring medicine to the streets and how we need to give our best services to the homeless. It was rather inspiring that James a doctor by profession, gave up his lucrative job in a well furnished hospital and moved out to serve the homeless. Following his example many young doctors joined him and after a while the government hospital extended their services to the homeless on the streets.
