As the news of the passing away of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee spread across the country, we too at Aashray Abhiyan grieved his loss.
A great leader who projected a very inclusive India and held people of all faiths in equality as one nation. His passing away at the ripe age of 93, is the passing away of an era.
We at Aashray Abhiyan, had a long march from Sinha Library Road till Gandhi Maidan remembering this great leader. As we assembled together at Kargil chowk, we paid respect to the departed soul by observing five minutes silence. Dilip Kumar and Dorothy Fernandes addressed the Gathering and emphasized how important it is to be inclusive in today’s times.
Later a song was sung by Asha devi inviting everyone to do our good deeds and keep humanity alive. After this women and men came forward to offer floral tribute to the departed soul and comfort and consolation to those left behind.
