Support for Livelihood
After Covid, people are trying to get back to life, their livelihoods have been destroyed and it has become very difficult forthem to make both ends meet.
One of our vendors who is partially blind was trying to make both ends meet. Unfortunately so bad has been our society that they did not spare this partially impaired man – Manzoor Alam’s implements to repair cycles was stolen. He tried to run from pillar to post hoping to get relief. There was no respite, this was brought to our notice by Avdesh Pandey one of our leaders from the settlements.
After verification, we felt that this was very unfair and he was badly cheated. We decided to reach out to him and help him with a kit so that he could restart his livelihood.
As we reflect on this incident, we begin to wonder where our society is going and how cn we transform lives, so that they can live in dignity.
