Training of the Team members on story writing
Due to the lockdown, it became next to impossible for the government departments to be working. Fear has gripped everyone and so we used this time to identify the elderly persons who may have been the fist inhabitants of the dwelling places. In order to facilitate this a day’s training was given to the team members as to how to write their story and what are the areas that should be focused on. There was a good discussion on this and interest was shown by the team members. In order to sharpen their writing skills, time was given for each of them to write their own story – autobiography. It was a good exercise as they seriously went about doing this.
The next step was a bit difficult but once the first person began, the others followed. Each of the team members shared their story, and there was a sense of awe as the team members began to share their story. Certain aspects of the other was disclosed, the struggle that each of them had undergone was remarkable. This we believe will be another way of deepening our understanding of the other. Points were identified which they would have to keep in mind, when they would be recording the story of the community.
