Calling you viewers to contribute generously. May be to help support a young woman to either add to her savings for a machine. To support with rent for a center. To provide a day's midday meal for 60 children or even less. Or whatever you can every mite counts. The Almighty will bless you and your family abundantly.

Visiting the Night Shelters

One of the most difficult realities of life is to find homeless people sleeping under the open sky, no home to call their own. It is with some initiative from the government and civil society organizations that awe have tried to lobby that shelter for the homeless be set up in every city. Being appointed by the State government to be on the committee for the Shelter for Urban Homeless – SUH for the Supreme Court of India, it has offered me an opportunity to be able to reach the voice of the voiceless to the appropriate fora. Enforcing that we continue to ensure that the shelters are welcoming and that the SOP – Standard Operation Procedures are put in place, is both an opportunity to influence the government and ensure things happen. It is with this in mind we visited the shelter at Gaighat to ensure that the people who sleep at night get all the benefits they are entitled to.
